Millionth Visitor Terms & Conditions
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully.
By attending Twist Museum with a Valid Admission Ticket during the Promotional Period, eligible visitors will be automatically included in the Twist Museum One Millionth Visitor Promotional Giveaway.
Participants will be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions and agreed to be bound by them when participating in the Promotional Giveaway. These Terms and Conditions include limitations of Participants’ rights and remedies.
- Promoter and Administrator
- 1.1 The promoter of the Promotional Giveaway is Twist Museum London Limited, company number 13626193, of Unit 2, 15 Barley Mow Centre, 10 Barley Mow Passage, London, England (“Promoter”).
- 1.2 The Promoter is responsible for the Promotional Giveaway and has appointed Prizeshark Ltd, company number 05340815, of Elmfield House, New Yatt Road, Whitney, Oxfordshire, OX28 1PB (“Administrator”) to assist with prize administration and fulfilment.
- 1.3 The Administrator will contact the winner following confirmation by the Promoter and will facilitate the booking and fulfilment of the prize on the Promoter’s behalf.
- Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:
- 2.1 “Comp Ticket” means any complimentary, staff, media, influencer, content creator, promotional or other admission ticket issued free of charge.
- 2.2 “Lead Booker” means the person whose name and contact information are associated with the relevant booking in the Promoter’s official booking system.
- 2.3 “Participant” means an eligible visitor attending Twist Museum with a Valid Admission Ticket during the Promotional Period.
- 2.4 “Promotional Giveaway” means the Twist Museum One Millionth Visitor Promotional Giveaway governed by these Terms and Conditions.
- 2.5 “Valid Admission Ticket” means a paid admission ticket issued through the Promoter’s official booking system which entitles its holder to enter Twist Museum during the Promotional Period.
Comp Tickets, cancelled or refunded tickets, fraudulent tickets, duplicated tickets and any other tickets deemed invalid by the Promoter will not constitute Valid Admission Tickets.
- 2.6 “One Millionth Visitor” means the Lead Booker associated with the one millionth Valid Admission Ticket successfully scanned through the Promoter’s official ticket scanning system during the Promotional Period, as determined by the Promoter’s internal ticketing records.
- 2.7 “Winner” means the eligible One Millionth Visitor verified by the Promoter in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
- Eligibility
- 3.1 The Promotional Giveaway is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over at the time the relevant Valid Admission Ticket is scanned.
- 3.2 Where the one millionth Valid Admission Ticket is allocated to or used by a person under 18 years of age, the prize will be awarded to the eligible Lead Booker associated with that ticket.
- 3.3 The Promotional Giveaway is not open to:
a. employees, officers, directors or contractors of the Promoter or Administrator;
b. employees of their respective group companies, agents or suppliers who are professionally connected with the Promotional Giveaway;
c. members of the immediate families or households of any person described above; or
d. anyone attending Twist Museum using a Comp Ticket. - 3.4 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of the prospective Winner and may request satisfactory proof of their identity, age, residency, booking and ticket validity.
- 3.5 The Promoter may disqualify any prospective Winner where it reasonably believes that they:
a. are not eligible to participate;
b. have breached these Terms and Conditions;
c. have provided incomplete, inaccurate, misleading or fraudulent information; or
d. have sought to manipulate or interfere with the operation of the Promotional Giveaway.
- Promotional Period
- 4.1 The Promotional Giveaway opens at 00:01 BST on 10 July 2026.
- 4.2 The Promotional Giveaway will remain open until the One Millionth Visitor has been identified and verified through the Promoter’s official ticket scanning system.
- 4.3 The Promotional Giveaway will close automatically once the One Millionth Visitor has been identified, subject to eligibility and verification.
- 4.4 The Promoter may announce the closure of the Promotional Giveaway on its website, social media channels or through other appropriate communications.
- How to Participate
- 5.1 There is no action required to participate beyond attending Twist Museum with a Valid Admission Ticket during the Promotional Period.
- 5.2 Eligible visitors will be automatically included in the Promotional Giveaway when their Valid Admission Ticket is successfully scanned through the Promoter’s official ticket scanning system.
- 5.3 The purchase of a ticket does not guarantee that the purchaser or ticket holder will be the One Millionth Visitor.
- 5.4 Each Valid Admission Ticket will count as one admission for the purpose of determining the One Millionth Visitor.
- 5.5 Where several tickets are purchased as part of the same booking, each Valid Admission Ticket will be counted separately in the order in which it is successfully scanned.
- 5.6 Tickets which are not scanned, are cancelled, refunded, duplicated, fraudulent or otherwise invalid will not count towards determining the One Millionth Visitor.
- Determining the One Millionth Visitor
- 6.1 The Winner will be the eligible Lead Booker associated with the one millionth Valid Admission Ticket successfully scanned through the Promoter’s official ticket scanning system during the Promotional Period.
- 6.2 The Promoter’s official ticket scanning and internal ticketing records will be used to determine the One Millionth Visitor.
- 6.3 The Promoter’s determination of the one millionth valid admission will be final, subject to any rights Participants may have under applicable law.
- 6.4 If two or more tickets appear to have been scanned at the same time, the order recorded by the Promoter’s official ticket scanning system will determine which ticket constitutes the one millionth valid admission.
- 6.5 If the official ticket scanning system experiences a technical fault, interruption, delay or other issue, the Promoter reserves the right to use its internal ticketing, booking, admission or other reasonably available records to determine the One Millionth Visitor.
- 6.6 The Promoter will take reasonable steps to ensure that its method of identifying the One Millionth Visitor is fair, accurate and capable of independent verification where required.
- Winner Verification and Notification
- 7.1 The Promoter intends to notify the prospective Winner at Twist Museum as soon as reasonably practicable after the one millionth Valid Admission Ticket has been scanned.
- 7.2 Notification at the venue will be subject to the Promoter first confirming the relevant ticket, booking and Lead Booker information.
- 7.3 The prospective Winner may be required to provide:
a. their full name;
b. postal address;
c. email address;
d. telephone number;
e. proof of identity;
f. proof of age and UK residency; and
g.any additional information reasonably required to verify eligibility or facilitate the prize. - 7.4 The Promoter may delay public confirmation of the Winner until all required eligibility and verification checks have been completed.
- 7.5 Once the Winner has been verified, their contact information will be provided securely to the Administrator for the purpose of arranging and fulfilling the prize.
- 7.6 If the One Millionth Visitor:
a. is ineligible;
b. declines the prize;
c. declines to be a part of Twist’s marketing activities linked to the celebration and recording of the One Millionth Visitor receipt or use of the prize
d. fails to provide the information reasonably required for verification or fulfilment; or
e. is disqualified in accordance with these Terms and Conditions,
f. the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to the Lead Booker associated with the next eligible Valid Admission Ticket scanned after the one millionth valid admission. - 7.7 The process described in clause 7.6 may be repeated until an eligible Winner accepts the prize.
- The Prize
- 8.1 One Winner will receive a Northern Lights holiday for up to four people, comprising two adults and two children aged between 3 and 17 years.
- 8.2 The prize comprises:
a. a three-night stay in a standard room at the Arctic Star Hotel;
b. full-board accommodation;
c. regionally based departures on selected fixed dates;
d. overseas transfers;
e. a husky safari;
f. a snowmobile activity; and
g. a visit to a reindeer camp. - 8.3 The prize has an approximate retail value of £4,500 at the commencement of the Promotional Giveaway.
- 8.4 The holiday will be available on selected fixed departure dates during November, December, January, February and March, subject to availability.
- 8.5 Dates may include selected school holiday periods but will exclude departures over Christmas and New Year.
- 8.6 All accommodation, transport, activities and other elements of the prize are subject to availability and the applicable terms, restrictions and conditions of the relevant travel and service providers.
- 8.7 The following are not included in the prize:
a. travel to or from the applicable UK departure airport or departure point;
b. travel insurance;
c. local taxes, tourist taxes or resort fees payable locally;
d. passports, visas or other travel documentation;
e. vaccinations, medical certificates or health requirements;
f. food or drink not expressly included within the full-board arrangement;
g. personal spending money;
h. optional activities, excursions or upgrades; and
i. any other costs or expenses not expressly stated as being included. - 8.8 The Winner and all travelling guests are responsible for ensuring that they:
a. hold valid passports and any required visas or travel documentation;
b. comply with all immigration, health and entry requirements;
c. obtain appropriate travel insurance covering their individual needs and circumstances; and
d. are medically and physically able to participate in the holiday and included activities. - 8.9 The Promoter and Administrator will not be responsible for any failure by the Winner or their guests to travel because they do not hold the required documentation, insurance or permissions, or do not meet applicable travel requirements.
- Prize Booking and Fulfilment
- 9.1 Following verification, the Administrator will contact the Winner using the contact information provided by the Winner to discuss the booking and fulfilment of the prize.
- 9.2 The holiday must be booked by 31 December 2026.
- 9.3 The actual departure date may take place after the booking deadline, provided it falls within one of the available departure periods offered by the Administrator or relevant travel provider.
- 9.4 All proposed travel dates are subject to availability. The Winner may be asked to provide several preferred departure dates.
- 9.5 The Winner should not make any separate travel arrangements until the holiday booking has been formally confirmed in writing by the Administrator or relevant travel provider.
- 9.6 Once a booking has been confirmed, changes requested by the Winner or their guests may not be possible and may be subject to additional charges. Any such charges will be the responsibility of the Winner.
- 9.7 The Promoter and Administrator will not be responsible for costs incurred by the Winner or their guests before the booking has been formally confirmed.
- Alternative Travel Gift Card
- 10.1 If the Winner is unable or does not wish to take the specified Northern Lights holiday, they may elect to receive a travel gift card with a value equivalent to £4,500 instead.
- 10.2 The alternative travel gift card:
a. will be arranged by the Administrator;
b. may be issued by a third-party travel provider;
c. will be subject to the issuing provider’s own terms, conditions, validity period, booking restrictions and availability;
d. cannot be exchanged for cash; and
e. may not be resold or transferred unless expressly permitted by the issuing provider. - 10.3 The Winner must notify the Administrator of their decision to receive the alternative travel gift card within the timeframe reasonably specified by the Administrator.
- 10.4 Once the Winner has selected either the holiday or the alternative travel gift card and that selection has been confirmed, they may not subsequently change their selection.
- 10.5 No cash alternative is available.
- General Prize Conditions
- 11.1 The prize is non-transferable and may only be used by the Winner and their nominated travelling guests, except where the applicable travel provider expressly permits changes.
- 11.2 At least one travelling adult must be aged 18 years or over.
- 11.3 The children included within the booking must be aged between 3 and 17 years on the date of departure.
- 11.4 If the Winner wishes to travel with a different group composition, additional adults, additional children or persons outside the stated age ranges, this will be subject to availability, provider approval and payment by the Winner of any additional cost.
- 11.5 No refund or compensation will be provided where the Winner does not use all parts of the prize.
- 11.6 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize, or any element of it, with an alternative of equal or greater value where circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary.
- 11.7 The Promoter does not guarantee that any specific departure date, airport, room type, itinerary, activity or other preference will be available.
- 11.8 The Winner and their guests must behave responsibly and comply with the reasonable instructions, policies and conditions of all travel, accommodation and activity providers.
- 11.9 The Promoter, Administrator or relevant provider may refuse participation in an activity where it reasonably considers that a person’s age, health, behaviour or other circumstances create a safety risk or make participation unsuitable.
- 11.10 Any taxes, charges or liabilities arising from acceptance or use of the prize which are not expressly included will be the responsibility of the Winner.
- Changes, Cancellations and Events Outside Reasonable Control
- 12.1 Travel arrangements may be changed, rescheduled or cancelled due to weather, transport disruption, safety concerns, provider availability, government restrictions or other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter or Administrator.
- 12.2 Where a material part of the prize becomes unavailable, the Promoter or Administrator will take reasonable steps to offer:
a. a suitable alternative arrangement;
b. an alternative departure date;
c. the alternative travel gift card described in clause 10; or
d. another prize of equal or greater value. - 12.3 The Promoter and Administrator will not be responsible for delays, cancellations, losses or additional expenses caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control, except where responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.
- 12.4 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects any statutory rights the Winner may have against the relevant travel provider.
- Photography, Filming and Publicity
- 13.1 The Promoter intends to capture the moment at which the prospective Winner is notified at Twist Museum through photography, video recording or other content.
- 13.2 The Winner may also be invited to participate in reasonable unpaid photography, filming, interviews, social media content, press activity and other publicity relating to the Promotional Giveaway.
- 13.3 Participation in photography, filming or publicity is mandatory and is a condition of receiving the prize.
- 13.4 Where the Winner provides consent, the Promoter may use the Winner’s:
a. name;
b. image and likeness;
c. voice;
d. interview responses;
e. county, city or general area of residence; and
f. photographs or video recordings,
in connection with the Promotional Giveaway. - 13.5 This content may be used on the Promoter’s websites, social media channels, email communications, digital advertising, press releases, public relations materials and other promotional media.
- 13.6 Where any person appearing in the content is under 18 years of age, consent must be obtained from their parent or legal guardian before identifiable content relating to that person is used.
- 13.7 The Winner may withdraw their consent to future use of their personal information by contacting the Promoter. Withdrawal will not affect any processing or publication that occurred lawfully before consent was withdrawn.
- Data Protection
- 14.1 The Promoter and Administrator will process Participants’ personal information only as reasonably necessary to:
a. administer the Promotional Giveaway;
b. identify and verify the One Millionth Visitor;
c. confirm the Winner’s eligibility;
d. contact the Winner;
e. arrange and fulfil the prize;
f. manage publicity where consent has been provided;
g. prevent fraud or misuse; and
h. comply with legal and regulatory obligations. - 14.2 Personal information may include names, contact details, booking details, ticket information, identification information and other details reasonably required to administer the Promotional Giveaway.
- 14.3 Personal information will be processed in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.
- 14.4 The Winner’s information may be shared with the Administrator and with relevant travel, accommodation, activity, insurance or service providers where reasonably required to arrange and fulfil the prize.
- 14.5 Personal information will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in these Terms and Conditions or as required by law.
- 14.6 Personal information collected for the administration of the Promotional Giveaway will not be used for marketing purposes unless the relevant person has separately consented to receive marketing communications.
- 14.7 Further information about how the Promoter processes personal information can be found in its privacy policy available through the Twist Museum website.
- 14.8 Further information about how the Administrator processes personal information can be found in the Prizeshark privacy policy.
- 14.1 The Promoter and Administrator will process Participants’ personal information only as reasonably necessary to:
- Liability and Disqualification
- 15.1 The Promoter reserves the right to investigate and disqualify any Participant who:
a. breaches these Terms and Conditions;
b. provides false, misleading or fraudulent information;
c. uses or attempts to use an invalid, duplicated, refunded, cancelled or fraudulent ticket;
d. interferes with the ticket scanning system or Promotional Giveaway; or
e. otherwise acts unfairly or dishonestly in connection with the Promotional Giveaway. - 15.2 The Promoter and Administrator accept no responsibility for:
a. tickets which are not successfully scanned;
b. delayed, incomplete, inaccurate or corrupted booking or ticket records caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control;
c. technical failures, system interruptions or network issues;
d. incorrect contact information supplied by the Winner;
e. failure by the Winner to receive communications because of email filtering, technical issues or inaccurate information; or
f. losses arising from the acts or omissions of third-party travel or service providers, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded. - 15.3 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability for:
a. death or personal injury caused by negligence;
b. fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
c. any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. - 15.4 Subject to clause 15.3, the Promoter and Administrator will not be responsible for any indirect, consequential or unforeseeable loss arising from participation in the Promotional Giveaway or acceptance or use of the prize.
- 15.1 The Promoter reserves the right to investigate and disqualify any Participant who:
- General
- 16.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, extend or withdraw the Promotional Giveaway where it becomes reasonably necessary to do so because of circumstances beyond its control.
- 16.2 Where reasonably possible, any material changes to the Promotional Giveaway or these Terms and Conditions will be communicated through the Promoter’s website or other appropriate channels.
- 16.3 The Promoter’s failure to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions will not constitute a waiver of that provision.
- 16.4 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
- 16.5 These Terms and Conditions represent the entire agreement between the Promoter and Participants in relation to the Promotional Giveaway.
- 16.6 These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law.
- 16.7 Participants may bring legal proceedings in the courts applicable to their place of residence within the United Kingdom. The Promoter may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales or any other court with lawful jurisdiction.
